Hi,

We are working towards identification of this issue.

Kindly elaborate, what was the the download speed you were getting during the download. Can you retry downloading the file? Let us know if the problems persists.

Yes, same problem here . Impossible to unzip on mac (see error message )

It seems that the zip encoding is buggy.

By the way, things should be simpler for the basic user receiving a link. He should see directly  a download button more visible for each file. He doesn't think automatically to click on the file to see it or download it.

An do you think to support multilanguage ?

The individual file download option without opening the file will be rolled out with the User Accounts release.

Multi-language support is a very good suggestion. We will see what we can do about that.

Hi, thank you for your answer. I was the Anonymous, but had forgotten to Sign In.

The download speed starts at 510 Ko/s and at the end is 587 Ko/s. The zip is still unusable.

The strange thing is that Chrome doesn't display the "green wheel" indicating the state of the download. It seems that it doesn't know the final size of the file to download, and this is not normal.

I mention that at least two people that I send files had the same problem, on different computers.

Hi Sylvian,

We have been unable to reproduce the issue at our end even after numerous tries.

Can you send us the downloaded zip file? We will use it to diagnose the issue.

Upload the zip file to Jumpshare and send us the link.

Thanks.

That's strange. It happens each time here... Can it be related to the country ? I'm in France fyi.

Anyway, here is one of the zip files I downloaded yesterday : http://jumpshare.com/b/L7VqLl.

Hope you can find the issue !!!

We downloaded the zip file you mentioned (http://jumpshare.com/b/L7VqLl) on Windows, Mac and Linux based systems. We used Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer web browsers.

In all our attempts we were able to successfully download and extract the zip file without any error or warnings.

We are therefore inclined to believe that the problem is at your end. You could try one of the following solutions.

1. Use a third-party unzip tool to open the zip archive

2. Copy the file to some other location on your system and then try to extract it. (you may not have the rights to extract the file on the current location.)

3. Download the individual file from Jumpshare viewer instead of the zipped archive. To accomplish this, open the link and click on the file to open it in file viewer. Click on the download button at the top right of the screen to download the file directly.

4. Try downloading it via some other internet connection from a different ISP.

Kindly get back to us if all of these solutions do not work for you.

Thanks.

Hello again,

Still looking for a solution about my zip issue.

I've maybe an idea...

I upload today these files : http://jumpshare.com/b/k7Qe64. (from Chome 23 on a Mac 10.6.8)

I checked the link on Safari 5.1.7 (same Mac).

When I "Download All Files", the zip autoextraction fails (with the mac default archive utility).

If I use Stuffit Expander, it works, however, the unzipped file title is : "02 Je voudrais d√©j√† √™tre roi - Le Roi Lion.aif" where the original title is "02 Je voudrais déjà être roi - Le Roi Lion.aif".

If I zip the original file myself with the archive utility, it works, I am able to unzip it and the name of the unzipped file is correct.

Conclusion : In my opinion, the zip program you use in Jumpshare has trouble to deal with foreign french characters. The result is that, on french machines at least, the zip utility can't unzip the files correctly.

I hope that experiment can help.

Thank you for the detailed analysis. It seems that you are having these problems because of the language of your operating system.

We have not added support for multiple languages yet. But it is in our backlog for future releases.

Thanks.
